£244 - Toyota Prius 1.5 VVTi T3 Hybrid 5dr CVT Auto from GMC Car Leasing

July 8th, 2008 by Gary Shapland

On offer is the Toyota Prius 1.5 VVTi T3 Hybrid 5dr CVT Auto from GMC Leasing at an amazing price of just £244 + VAT per month. Available to lease by both business users and private individuals. For a personalised contract hire quotation please speak to the GMC Leasing Team on 0870 7704944. There are significant savaings on company car tax, no London congestion charges to name but a few.

Since the launch the latest generation Toyota Prius hybrid it has been pretty much universally regarded as the most environmentally-friendly production car, and celebrities ranging from Leonardo di Caprio to Cameron Diaz have been passionate advocates.

The Toyota Prius uses battery power to back up a 1.5-litre petrol engine and it emits just 104g/km of CO2, which is amongst the lowest of any production car on sale. The battery is recharged during braking and coasting, and it can propel the Prius in silence at urban speeds. The car switches between petrol and electric power almost seamlessly, and it has reasonable get-up-and-go under acceleration.

The battery pack is hidden under the floor behind the rear seats and it kicks into action when additional power is required and recharges when the brakes are applied. Unlike the Civic you can switch to running the car solely on electric power, but you can’t travel much more than a mile on electric. The car’s parts are guaranteed for eight years.

Achieving the official 65.7mpg seems difficult in real-life driving; however, annual road tax is very low, there are savings for company car drivers, and it’s exempt from London’s Congestion Charge. It’s also roomy and well-equipped.

Some people see the Prius as expensive, but take into account the savings in fuel and taxes, its advanced technology and its feel-good factor, together with its potential resale value as petrol becomes more expensive, and it’s better value than people imagine. Although some diesel superminis may be marginally more economical, there is nothing to touch the Prius for its economy in relation to its size and practicality.

Fuel economy extra urban: 67.3mpg
Fuel economy urban: 56.5mpg
CO2 emissions: 104g/km
Green rating: VED band B - £15 a year
Weight: 1325 Kg
Company car tax liability (2007): 12%
Price: £17,777 (From £17,777 to £20,677)
Insurance group: 7
Safety: NCAP 5 star
Max speed: 102mph
0-60mph: 11.5 seconds

£349 - Chrysler 300C 3.0 V6 from GMC Car Leasing.

July 7th, 2008 by Gary Shapland

If you want a pretty amazing car, you can’t do much better than this the latest Chrysler 300c 3.0 V6 saloon car. At a fantastic contract hire leasing rate of just £349 + VAT based on a 2 year agreement, its an aweful lot of car!!! This lease offer is only available for business users. For a personalised quotation please speak to the GMC Leasing Team today on 0870 770 4944 or go directlt to our website. These cars are in stock and available for immediate delivery.

The world first laid eye on this Chrysler concept car in New York in 2003, and went on sale in America in 2004, the 300C has collected up more than 20 awards including accolades such as Hippest Car and America’s Most Wanted Automobile of 2005.

This Chrsler 300C is loved by businessfolk and rap stars, first-time executive car buyers and jaded veterans looking for an alternative to the obvious German models.

The majority of 300Cs sold in the UK come with the Mercedes-supplied 3.0-litre V6 diesel 215bhp five-speed automatic gearbox.

There has been some changes for 2008 and include a new dashboard design, improved centre console with armrests and cupholders, interior LED lighting, new dark slate grey leather upholstery, a redesigned bootlid with lip spoiler, new tail-lights and automatic headlamps.

Right-hand drive 300Cs are built by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria, to a high standard, and quality is way ahead of that in other Chrysler products if not quite up there with the 5-Series and A6 in terms of the soft-touch, feel-good factor.

Based upon a Chrysler-specific chassis (which you will also see in the Dodge Magnum, Dodge Charger and upcoming Challenger), the majority of the 300C’s mechanicals have been derived from the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The Chrysler 300C’s electrics and electronics are shared with Mercedes models, and the five-speed automatic gearbox and diesel engine are also Daimler-supplied. All these items and components are well-proven.

The front-engined, rear-wheel-drive 300C is a fine driver’s car, with its good weight balance, well-contained body roll, direct steering and adept cornering abilities.  It feels its size - and 1800kg-odd weight - but it is nonetheless agile and easy to manoeuvre despite being five metres long and almost two metres wide.

The new-generation five-speed automatic gearbox has a sequential-shift function, though it is responsive and reasonably intuitive in fully-auto mode. Progress through the gears is smooth and quiet. The 3.0-litre diesel engine (215bhp) has received piezo-electric fuel injection and a particulate filter. It delivers a stonking 376lb ft of torque, giving loads of mid-range pulling power and a 0-60mph sprint time of 7.6 seconds (8.6 seconds for the Touring). Top speed is 143mph (139mph Touring).

£340 - MERCEDES-BENZ C CLASS C220 CDI Sport Auto from GMC Car Leasing

July 4th, 2008 by Gary Shapland

This is an exclusive offer based on 20 cars that we have access to but at this price it wont be long before they are sold. This offer is available for both private and business contract hire leasing and different mileages and terms are available. To avoid dissapointment please speak to the GMC Leasing Team now. Full details available at http://www.gmcleasing.co.uk/lease-vehicle-details.asp?id=175

The smooth curves of the previous C-class are now a thing of the past, replaced with something far more edgy and, dare we say it, rather modern. The New Mercedes-Benz C Class is bigger all round and the designers have added another 45mm in the wheelbase and more shoulder room.  Passenger space has always been the weakness of compact premium cars in the compact executive segment, and with the cheaper and hugely competent cars like the new Ford Mondeo offering limo levels of comfort, space can’t be ignored.

The Key to this Sport Model is the Agility Control suspension that has adaptive damping. It’s a pretty simple system, just two stages and hydromechanical rather than electronic, but comes as standard on all models. And it puts C-Class handling on a new level. There’s tight chassis control and sharp turn-in, and the result is a new level of driver entertainment. The C-Class Sport gets speed-sensitive steering with a welcome degree of extra weight, plus a slightly lower ride height. Being a Mercedes there is, of course, the full suite of active safety installed to try and prevent you make a complete fool of yourself when you breach the boundaries. But they don’t really intrude on the fun.

£199.99 Vauxhall Antara 2.0CDTi E 16v (150PS) from GMC Car Leasing.

June 25th, 2008 by Gary Shapland

£199.99 is an amazing car leasing rate for this Vauxhall Antara 2.0CDTi E 16v (150PS) from GMC Car Leasing. Available for both Business and Private Contract Hire. This offer is based on a 2 year agreement 3+23 + VAT, alternative terms and mileages available. For a personalised quotation please speak to the GMC Car Leasing Team today on 0870 770 4944.

The “soft roaders” are all the rage these days, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Vauxhall has jumped the race with the all-new Vauchall Antara.

Vauxhall has purposely aimed the Antara at being a road-biased SUV, intended to spend its life on urban tarmac roads rather than rough country tracks. With its combination of inoffensive styling, excellent build quality and with GMC Car Leasing special leasing price, it poses a serious threat to the Toyota RAV 4 and Honda CR-V.

Don’t be fooled by the Vauxhall badge. The Antara is actually built in Korea, and is sister car to the new Chevrolet Captiva. Styling is similar, and having just driven a test model on the test track we think the Vauxhall version looks more upmarket.

The cabin Switchgear and instruments have mostly come from the Vauxhall Astra, but they don’t look out of place in the well-constructed cabin. Rear seat passengers enjoy a decent amount of space and the boot is up to class standards. The Antara also enjoys a very high level of standard equipment compared to rivals, including stability and climate control, 17 inch alloys and heated seats on even the most basic versions.

Two engines are available from launch, a 2.4 litre petrol motor and a 2.0 litre CDTi turbodiesel. The petrol powerplant is likely to be of minority interest in the UK, but the diesel gives respectable performance and is refined by class standards. Driving dynamics are composed and inoffensive, with good levels of grip and benign behaviour as the limit approaches. The only significant dynamic complaint is with high levels of wind noise at more rapid cruising speeds.`

£139.99 Mercedes Benz A150 Classic SE from GMC Car Leasing

June 20th, 2008 by Gary Shapland

This Mercedes Benz A150 Classic SE 5dr is availble for Business and Private Contract Hire Car Leasing from only £139.99 + VAT based on a 2 year contract 3+23 10k mpa non maintained. Different milages and terms are available and for a personalised car leasing quotation please speak to the GMC Leasing Team today on 0870 770 4944 or submit a quote request form.

Despite this more conventional sizing policy, a number of A-Class trademarks are carried over. The latest generation car is built on an all-new platform but structural features such as the innovative sandwich floor remain. Drop inside and youll instantly appreciate the gulf in quality between this car and the outgoing model. The dashboard looks like a scaled down version of the E-Class fascia think premium not Palitoy and has been developed with the help of a shiny Berlin customer clinic where everything from materials to switch feel to door slam and indicator sounds have been exhaustively tested.

The first generation A-Class models were woefully short of Mercedes Benz look and feel inside, although later versions rectified this to a certain extent. The second-generation car features soft touch fascia surfaces, sleek switchgear, and a glove compartment lid that closes like an Aspreys jewellery box rather than a CD case. About the best compliment you can pay it is that it now actually feels like a Mercedes.

£119 Suzuki Swift 1.3GL 5dr. Amazing Value!!!

June 17th, 2008 by Gary Shapland

Once again GMC Car Leasing has secured a limited number of Suzuki Swift 1.3GL 5 door at an outstanding price of £119 + VAT per month based on a 2 year agreement. To secure your car for immediate delivery call the GMC Contract Hire and Car Leasing Team today on 0870 770 4944. Othere terms and mileages available on request. Add another £10 per month and drive the GLX!

The new version of the Suzuki Swift is an entirely different and more serious proposition than any other small car from Suzuki. Just like other Japanese car makers, it’s started to set its sights on grabbing the attention of European buyers. So the Swift is the first stab, a striking, finely judged design, more Mini than Japanese mono-box. And it promises to be good to drive as well, with much talk from Suzuki about ‘listening to European enthusiast drivers’ and plenty of testing on our roads.

The all new Swift is a built on a newly developed platform with three- and a five-door models on offer.  Suzuki has adopted torsion beam rear suspension and fitted necessary modern safety systems such as electronic brake force distribution and brake assist.

This Suzuki Swift 1.3GL 5 door has a 1.3 petrol engine and has no problems in keeping pace with busy town traffic.  The Swift strikes a pleasing balance between decent ride comfort and control and the wide track and long wheelbase gives it a sure-footed feel. It feels strong and secure on the road and it does what you expect of it. The brakes are particularly noteworthy, combining good stopping power with a well-weighted action. The Swift now drives in a manner comparable with its main rivals.

The cabin is a roomy, distinctive place to travel in with an impressive level of quality to its construction. The layout of controls is simple and clear, the seats are comfortable and of a good size with plenty of under-thigh support, and room is generous in the back.

The Swift is one of the most intriguing small new cars for some time – more so because it comes from the left-field, from a manufacturer that’s not been associated with producing competitive mainstream cars. But the Swift signals Suzuki’s intent to compete on a global level and to do so they need the right standard of product.

£179 - Vauxhall Astra 2.0T 16V VXR Car Leasing

June 16th, 2008 by Gary Shapland

Lease this Vauxhall Astra 2.0T 16V VXR either Business or Private leasing from only £179 + VAT per month. This contract hire car leasing price is based on a 6+23 10k mpa, other milages and terms available. For a personalised quotation please speak to the GMC Leasing Team today on 0870 770 4944.

Under the bonnet you will find a 2.0 litre four cylinder engine that has been turbocharged to produce a very healthy 240bhp, which will silence most rivals in bar room bragging scenarios. It is more than able to propel the VXR to 152mph and allows it to hit sixty in 6.2 seconds which are impressive figures. The power is managed by a traction control system which intervenes if and when the front wheels start spinning. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, although there’s so much torque, you’ll spend most of your time in 2nd, 4th and 6th. A curious feature of the VXR’s engine is the sound it makes which Vauxhall claims is the result of acoustic tuning. A fan-like roar can be heard from the exhaust when the engine is delivering maximum turbo boost (when its being driven hard).

The ride is surprisingly good for a sporty car with compliant suspension, that does a good job of soaking up the lumps and bumps but also keeps it composed and feeling sporty. Front seats offer plenty of lateral support and the interior is roomy enough to carry four adults without complaint.

The VXR has been equipped with a generous level of equipment which includes air conditioning, 18-inch alloys, electric windows, heated electric mirrors, part-leather Recaro seats and a CD MP3 player.

Ford Kuga Contract Hire Car Leasing

June 10th, 2008 by Gary Shapland

Ford hasn’t built 4X4’s for a number of years now and is rejoining the party the SUV market. Enter the Kuga, the blue oval is back with a mudplugger to challenge the very best in the class.

The Kuga is hardly a ‘mudplugger’ - it’s styling cues are more ‘car’ than ‘4×4′. Inside, the car-like theme continues: Ford has resisted a temptation to make the interior look tough, rugged and built for the purpose of off roading.

You notice that there is not a low ratio gear lever in sight, nor even a now-obligatory button to lock a centre differential. You will be lookings for days if your looking for the a large yellow toggle for the hill descent, mainly because the Kuga, shock horror, doesn’t even have hill descent.

Ford has realised that the 6-7,000 buyers the Kuga is likely to attract each year will miss neither any of the above and actually prefer the low-key looks and enjoy what the brand promises is a ‘class-best’ drive on the Tarmac.

Green is now an important topic and the Kuga has the lowest-in-class emissions of 169g/km of CO2. Ford is hoping these this and an average fuel consumption of 44mpg will attract buyers wanting sports 4×4 looks to go with superior fuel economy and road-tax-friendly emissions.

Ford is making progress again in improving the quality across all of its models. Take a look at the company’s completely revised 2008 Focus that has made a vast improvement over the previous model’s patchy materials. The Focus-based Kuga, dips heavily into the Focus parts bin, which is no bad thing because it raises the feeling of quality yet further.

People will be asking the important question is how the Kuga will fare in terms of reliability. It uses a lot of the mechanicals on the Focus, which has proved pretty hardy so far, so it’s fair to assume that it should be reliable. The Kuga is built on the firm’s C-platform that underpins both Focus and C-Max and is regarded as the best in the business.

Such is the flexibility of this modular platform the wheelbase has been stretched 50mm and the track widened by 43mm. Importantly, Ford has adapted its ‘Control Blade’ rear suspension for the Kuga and it’s this innovative independent rear suspension that gave the Focus its sharp, involving and entertaining handling.

The all-wheel drive hardware is the latest-generation Haldex system. In most circumstances the Kuga is front-wheel drive until slippage is detected when a clutch in the rear differential is engaged shuffling the torque rearwards.

For a personalised Ford Kuga contract hire car leasing quotation, please speak to the GMC Leasing Team today on 0870 770 4944.

£216/Month will lease you this Mercedes Benz CLC C180 Sports Auto

June 6th, 2008 by Gary Shapland

The Mercedes C-Class Sports Coupe will become the CLC as of the 16th in June

There are more economical engines across the range, the front and rear ends and the interior have been changed to give the car more of a family resemblance to the latest C-Class saloon, electronic features that ought to have been available aeons ago are now offered, and the C-Class’s more direct steering is fitted to Sport models.

Beneath the mild reskin, though, it’s the same car, based on the platform and suspension of the previous C-Class.

However, Merc claims to have retuned the suspension, and Sport models get a stiffer and lower set-up as well as the revised steering. This gives quicker responses at high speed for sporty driving, without hindering low-speed manoeuvrability.

June 6th, 2008 by Gary Shapland

CREDIT CRUNCH. Aren’t you fed up with the news going on and on about a credit crunch? Dont believe all you read in the newspapers and ignore the gossip of doom and gloom because as many people if not more are leasing cars for business and private in 2008.

GMC Leasing has seen continued growth over the last 5 months of this year in all sectors of the Industry from the smallest of run arounds through to family sized saloons and hatchbacks, right up to the large luxury models including 4X4´s.

2008 has never been a better time to lease a new car as Manufacturers and Finance companies tussle to gain market share resulting in some amazing prices being offered. Traditionally there has been long term car leasing contract hire based on 2, 3, 4 and 5 year periods and at the other end of the spectrum there has been daily rental providing cars and vans based on a daily or weekly period. There has been a gap for many years between these two type of car lease although now there has been a few Manfacturers and Finance companies breaking into this market place with contract periods of 3, 6 and 12 months contracts enabling GMC Leasinf to offer our clients a full range of products from daily rental, shoert term lease and full long term leasing facilities.

Many of our customers we have spoken to and arranged a short term lease car have explained to us that these vehicles are being used for new staff on a trial basis, or that they are bewteen old cars being returned and before a new car being delivered or on many occasions they have been declined finance by a long term leasing finance company and that this short term lease will keep them on the road for 12 months whilst their credit rating is restored to full health again. £189 - Vauxhall Tigra 1.4 Coupe Air Contract Hire & Car Leasing

June 3rd, 2008 by Gary Shapland

Contract hire and car leasing prices on this Vauxhall Tigra 1.4 Coupe Air starts from £189 per month. For a personalised quote please speak to the GMC Car Leasing Team on 0870 770 4944

The combination of characterful styling and an agile driving experience make the Tigra an easy car to like - and with this competitive car leasing deal means that it makes a strong case against the competition, too.

The engineers have done an superb job and the  styling helps to set the Tigra apart from its rivals- with clever design helping to disguise proportions inherited from the Corsa that it’s based on. The retractable hard top stows tidily to transform it from a coupe into a roadster.

Out on the road the Tigra is quick to prove itself a likeable dynamic companion. The bodyshell isn’t the most rigid and bumpier roads result in noticeable chassis flex - but steering responses are keen and grip levels reasonably high. Travelling with the roof down magnifies the impression of speed - you don’t need to risk your licence to have fun in an open topped Tigra.

£201 - NEW Citroen C5 Saloon Contract Hire & Car Leasing from GMC Leasing.

May 29th, 2008 by Gary Shapland

object width=”425″ height=”355″>

Starting from £201 + VAT per month this Citroen C5 Saloon and Estate is outstanding value for money. Full range of spec and models available for Business or Personal Contract Hire Lease. For a personalised quotation and availability please call the GMC Car Leasing Team now on 0870 770 4944

Citroen over the last couple of years it seems is on a bit of a roll. The fact is not only have they become one of the greenest manufacturers, but it seems they’re also starting to grasp basic design too. The previous C5 was hardly a show stopper; its bland design coupled with a shoddy interior and poor build quality. So what has taken Citroen so long?

Quite clearly whatever the reason, it has been worth the wait. With this new C5, Citroen is making a lot of references to the Germans; having taken a fairly large leaf from the books of Audi and BMW when designing the car. Its advertising slogan even states “Unmistakably German” but “made in France” in small type. And to its credit, the C5 is striking. There is no mistake ,it has a much sleeker profile, but the real head turner is the front, where the C5 has been given a large attractive grille and sweeping headlamps, while the Citroen badge flows into the bonnet line, in keeping with the new Citroen corporate style. It is no longer difficult to picture this car in the same bracket as the likes of the BMW 3 series and Ford Mondeo, and other than the price - which is hugely competitive; ranging from £15,600 to £24,000 - the previous car is a distant memory.

The first thing you notice when you step inside the new C5 it has the feeling of something much more expensive. The whole cabin has been superbly put together with soft touch plastics and a smart leather steering wheel, the centre of which doesn’t move - housing all the function buttons - whilst the wheel itself rotates around it.

The C5 makes an excellent motorway companion, and the well-built cabin doesn’t let in much wind or road noise. The Hydractive suspension tackles bumps and lumps in a limousine-like fashion, while avoiding the wallowy feeling associated with traditional hydro-pneumatic systems.

£299 -Volkswagen Golf R32 V6 3dr Contract Hire and Car Leasing

May 28th, 2008 by Gary Shapland

£299 + VAT will lease this Volkswagen Golf R32 V6 3dr. Contract Hire car leasing has got to be without doubt the perfect solution. For a personalised  car leasing quotation, please speak to the GMC Leasing Team today on 0870 770 4944.

The last generation Volkswagen Golf R32 was one of VW’s biggest successes of the last few years with the mixture of good looks and V6 power with a finely-honed sports chassis. If evolution works as it should do, the new version should be even better.  If you were looking to but this vehicle from a VW Showroom youd have to go along with a wallet stuffed full of cash and dont be shocked at the very serious £23,745 pricetag that VW has chosen to affix to it (that’s the three-door, the five-door is £500 more.) That makes it around £3000 dearer than a Subaru Impreza WRX - and only a couple of hundred quid cheaper than its supposedly posher Audi A3 3.2 V6 sister.

With the Golf R32 in the driveway or the company car park, you will certainly look the part, boasting a chunkier bodykit than the GTI and proudly wearing a unique, silver radiator grille and subtle “R32″ badging. From behind, twin exhaust pipes centrally mounted under the bumper show that this is the R32 Golf. The designers have been busy on the interior with unique badging and some sporty metal trim and great-feeling sports steering wheel.

Mechanically this R32 is very similar to the last one, featuring a developed version of the same V6 engine. Now it has 247 bhp, up from the original car’s 238 bhp, but with torque outputs remaining identical. Drive is passed via a six-speed manual gearbox (or the optional six-speed “DSG” twin-clutch semi-auto) to VW’s familiar Haldex four-wheel drive system (still branded as “4Motion”). In normal operation almost all power goes to the front wheels but, when the system detects any slip, an electronically controlled clutch on the rear axle is brought into play, diverting as much drive as necessary to the back wheels. VW claims a 0-62 mph time of 6.5 seconds (just 0.1 second quicker than the old car), while top speed is now electronically limited to 155 mph.

Behind the wheel of this Golf R32, it feels slightly faster than those figures suggest. The engine is happy to pull cleanly from very low revs, enthusiasm developing as the rev counter needle ascends the dial. At the 4000 rpm mark it really wakes up and a hard-edged yowl enters the exhaust note as the motor reels in the 6500 rpm redline. At which point you select the next ratio via the pleasingly slick gearshift action and repeat as necessary.

Handling is something this thoroughbred has down to a tee. Indeed, from the driver’s seat the biggest surprise is how different the R32 feels to the GTI with meatier-feeling steering and less front-end push. Cornering limits are very high - with the R32 responding well if you ask it to tighten its cornering line with a generous dose of throttle. The standard-fit ESP stability control system remains a reassuring presence during all of this - but if you choose to switch it off (and find an empty test track) then the R32 can be made to slide in an instinctively corrected fashion.

£260 - Saab 9-3 Vector Sport 1.9 TiD car leasing and contract hire.

May 27th, 2008 by Gary Shapland

Starting from £260 + VAT pcm this Saab 9-3 Vector Sport 1.9 TiD  is available for both business and personal contract hire car leasing. These cars are in stock and ready for immediate delivery.

The video above is based on an alternative model within the Saab 9-3 range and is aimed to give a general overview of the new 08 Saab 9-3 model.

The latest 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sport 1.9 TiD is said to feature no fewer than 2,000 changes over the outgoing model and utalises the successful Vauxhall Vectra platform.

Pride of this lease car has to be a big factor in this premium medium-sized car sector and the new Saab 9-3 models have a bold and assertive new look. The styling is carried over from the well received Aero X which has been doing the rounds of the European motor shows as the Saab of the future.

This new Saab 9-3 Vector Sport brings back the sporty appeal and for Saab traditionalists the clamshell bonnet is retained. New front and rear bumper mouldings and aerodynamic side sills now gives the appearance of a thoroughly modern car of premium quality.

The designers have been busy with the interior with improvements to this spacious five seater with enough rear seat legroom for adult passengers. There is a huge boot and the rear seats split 60/40. In the drivers seat the cockpit area is first class with the position of the steering wheel relative to the driver’s seat being excellent. The aircraft-style instrument panel is engineered towards the driver so controls are easy to use and instruments clear to see.

Standard features on this Saab 9-3 Vector Sport: alloy wheels, dual stage front airbags, active head restraints, front seat side airbags and curtain airbags, dual zone climate control, a driving pack consisting of cruise control and on- board computer, all-round electrically operated windows, tinted windows with heat absorbent glass and a seven speaker radio and CD system.

£216 HONDA CIVIC 2.0 i-VTEC Type R Car Leasing and Contract Hire

May 23rd, 2008 by Gary Shapland

At an amazing £216 per month this HONDA CIVIC 2.0 i-VTEC Type R 3dr as a contract hire lease car this one is flying off the shelf and with a good available stock we are taking many orders every day. Business car contract hire and personal / private car contract hire starts from an amazing £216 + VAT per month. For a personalised car leasing or car contract hire quotation please contact the GMC Car Leasing Team today on 0870 770 4944. Go directly to the Honda Civic Type R WEBPAGE

If your looking for a contract hire car with a difference then you certainly won’t be dissapointed with the Honda Civic Type R engine, whose vocals are pure touring car howl - hard-edged and intoxicating. As in the previous Type R, there’s the familiar VTEC step in power delivery, but Honda’s engineers have worked hard to make the highly tuned 2.0-litre four-cylinder more useable.

The Civic feels fast due to the stunning throttle response, snappy shift and short gearing. These factors should also make it a tiring car to drive, but although it pulls 3,400rpm at 70mph, the smooth engine doesn’t drone when cruising.

Feedback from customers that have the Honda Civic Type R  on a contract hire, is that the handling can only be summed up as - sublime. The steering is perfectly weighed and the chassis is incredibly communicative. The honed controls all work in harmony, and no rival holds a line in corners as tenaciously or has such fabulous traction. The Civic is addictive.

The Civic Type-R’s hard-edged predecessor had a cult following - over 35,000 were sold here, more than the rest of Europe combined. The brief was that the new car had to be easier to live with, retaining the uncompromising character, but with added comfort. That’s a tall order, but if any company can pull it off, it’s Honda. That’s why rawfined is Honda’s latest buzzword! It goes without saying that the Japanese company has done it. The Type-R competes in the hot hatch sector alongside the Ford Focus ST, VW Golf GTI, MINI Cooper S, Renaultsport Megane and Seat Leon Cupra; as with every other rival, it channels its power through a six-speed gearbox to the front wheels.

Audi Q5 Contract Hire and car leasing coming soon from GMC Car Leasing

Audi Q5 Contract Hire and car leasing coming soon from GMC Car Leasing. Register your interest with the GMC Car Leasing Team today on 0870 770 4944 and we will keep you updates with prices and availability as we get closer to September.

Audi are upping the ante in the compact SUV sector with its all-new Q5.  The new car on the block is aimed squarely at the Freelander 2 and X3, combining smart styling with Audi’s famous quattro four-wheel-drive system.

Measuring 4.63 metres, the Q5 is longer than its closest rivals, but Audi claim it will be the sportiest compact SUV around when it hits UK showrooms from this September. The moment you catch sight of the Q5 there’s no mistaking its distinctive Audi grille, while its optional LED daytime running lights borrow heavily from the new A4.

From the rear, the tailgate is aluminium to reduce weight, just like the bon-
net. LED light clusters provide a new fresh look at the back. The alloy roof rails boosts practicality and an extra-large panoramic sunroof features on the options list.

Car leasing and Contract Hire customers will get the choice of three exterior packages. Standard Q5s feature black body trim, but customers will also be able to select a full body-colour option or even pick a contrasting shade. The sporty S Line versions provide a more aggressive look, and for those not doing the School run there is an optional off-road package includes beefy underbody protection and bigger alloy wheels.

It goes without saying that Audi is renowned for its quality interiors and the Q5 won’t disappoint, with wood, aluminium, chrome, leather and Alcantara all featuring inside.

The Q5 scores for practicality with rear seat backs tilting, and an optional sliding bench is available to boost loadspace or rear legroom. The 540-litre boot  trumps the 480 litres available in the BMW X3 and extends to 1,560 litres if you fold the rear seats.

If you want to spec your Audi A5 there is the A6 Avant-style load-securing system, which uses floor-mounted rails to stop small items from sliding around. The extensive options list includes everything from a folding front passenger seat to a climate-controlled cup-holder and powered tailgate.

To ensure that the Q5 is better to drive than its rivals, Audi Drive Select allows owners to tune the suspension settings. Meanwhile, the firm’s Dynamic Steering system varies the gearing of the rack, depending on road speed, and can even apply corrective inputs to improve on-the-limit safety.

A trio of engines is available, comprising one petrol and a pair of oil-burners. The revamped 2.0-litre T FSI unit delivers 208bhp and 350Nm of torque, taking the Q5 from 0-62mph in 7.2 seconds and giving 27.6mpg. The 168bhp 2.0 TDI returns 35.1mpg, while the flagship 236bhp 3.0 TDI does 30.5mpg – and can race from 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds.

Gearbox options include a conventional six-speed manual, although a seven-speed twin-clutch S tronic will be available on the 2.0T FSI and 3.0 TDI models.
