£299 AUDI A5(24mth deal!)Cabriolet 2.0Tdi

March 10th, 2010 by Gary Shapland

GMC Leasing have an amazing offer for business User clients from today 10th March until 7th April, or until cars run out we can offer you this truely amazing Audi A5 2.0 TDi Cabriolet from just £299 + VAT. This offer is based on a 2 Year contract hire and lease agreement 3+23 although you will have to be super quick. Cars are factory order and due to be delivered from June.

When Audi’s head of design, Walter da Silva, designed the A5, he described it the most beautiful car he’d ever built. The A5 Cabriolet has exactly the same qualities, with the added benefit of open-top driving.

Audi A5 2.0 TDi Cabriolet Front

Starting from the front, it sits in a wide stance and thanks to its long wheelbase and short front and rear overhangs, it is perfectly proportioned. Sweeping over its V-shaped bonnet and piercing headlights, the front end rises smoothly. While the strong curving shoulder line adds yet further character. From the back, the car is equally bold with broad bumpers and a striking spoiler lip leaving a lasting impression.

The A5 Cabriolet’s lightweight soft-top doesn’t just earn admiring glances. It’s remarkably quick and easy to use too. It will open in just 15 seconds and takes just two seconds longer to close. The hood can also be operated while the car is on the move, at speeds of up to 31 mph.

The A5 Cabriolet’s cabin puts some premium luxury cars to shame with its level of refinement, attention to detail and superb finish. And, as you would expect from Audi, the instrumentation is the embodiment of clarity. Thanks to the cockpit’s ergonomics, your hand falls naturally to the control you need. It all helps to create an instinctive, intuitive and satisfying driving experience.

Audi A5 2.0 TDi Cabriolet Rear

The Driver’s Information System (DIS) is a large, clear digital display in the centre of the instrument panel. It provides a range of information – from the outside temperature to the estimated range possible with the current amount of fuel.

If you’re stuck in traffic, what’s the point of wasting fuel by letting the engine idle needlessly? Once up to operating temperature, Audi’s start-stop technology cuts the engine when the car is standing still and in neutral. The engine immediately starts again as soon as you depress the clutch. The whole process is barely noticeable but it can be disabled at the touch of a button if required.

To apply for leasing of this Audi A5 2.0 TDi Cabriolet simply follow this link to www.gmcleasing.co.uk or for all of our uptodate offers come and visit the GMC Leasing website

£196 - Cancelled Order / In Stock Delivery Ready SEAT LEON HATCHBACK 1.9TDi S Ecomotive

March 3rd, 2010 by Gary Shapland

Normally you would have to wait 16 weeks for a SEAT as the order books on all models are completely full. We have 1 car in White in stock and ready to be delivered as a client has cancelled an order so you will need to be quick if your interested in leasing this car.

SEAT are committed to making the cleanest, most-efficient engines possible.

The New SEAT Leon Ecomotive comes equipped with one of the most efficient and innovative engines in the SEAT range; the 1.9 TDI 105PS. This marvel of engineering has seen further improvements to its electronic management; optimising the central control unit and tweaking the gear ratios resulting in reduced CO2 emissions by 14.3% to 119 g/km.

Seat Leon 1.9tdi Ecomotive S from GMC Leasing

The addition of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), fitted as standard, plays its part too by reducing the soot particle emissions of diesel engines to prevent harm to living organisms.

About 0.3% of the emissions from diesel engines consist of gasses such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, sulphur dioxide, nitric acids as well as soot. Thanks to the engine control, the filter is constantly monitored and activated to reduce particle emissions. In layman’s terms the DPF needs no maintenance during the cars life. Meaning a cleaner atmosphere… and a cleaner conscience.

Those clever engineers at SEAT have also been tinkering with the gear ratios making them 8.2% longer overall.

The first and second gear ratios remain the same while the third, fourth and fifth have been lengthened reducing emissions by about 7 g/km.

SEAT have also managed reduce the weight, no mean feat for a car with such a distinguished record of safety and comfort. Shaving it down to a lean 1.320kg, which means a remarkable 6% reduction from the previous weight.

Another concession to make this as efficient and eco-friendly as possible is lower resistance tyres, making it possible to mount 195/65 tyres on 15-inch wheels or 205/55 tyres on 16-inch alloy wheels.

Seat Leon 1.9tdi Econetic Interior from GMC Leasing

However SEAT being SEAT, they are not prepared to compromise when it comes to engine performance, and engine torque of 250 nm at 1,900 rpm, the 1.9 TDI still delivers excellent acceleration (taking you from 0-100 in 10.9 seconds) and cracking a top speed of 115mph where the law permits. Furthermore, this ultra-efficient engine can travel 100km on only 3.9 litres of fuel, allowing it to cover almost 1,500 km without refuelling.

Neither were they prepared to compromise on equipment levels, which is why the New Leon Ecomotive engine is now available in a choice of trim levels. The New Leon Ecomotive S is a well appointed car with standard specification that includes air conditioning, electric front windows (one touch with antisqeeze) and body-coloured bumpers, mirrors and door handles. The New Leon Ecomotive SE takes equipment levels higher still with highlights including Dual Zone Climate Control, cruise control, electric front and rear windows (one touch with anti-squeeze) and 16″ Enea alloy wheels.

All New BMW 320d ED Efficient Dynamic Car Leasing from just £319

February 19th, 2010 by Gary Shapland

The all new BMW 320d Efficient Dynamic is officially the cleanest, greenest, most fuel efficient 3 series BMW ever. This BMW has been specifically designed to appeal to fleet buyers and the environmentally conscious alike, and due to some further tuning and tweaking of the company’s biggest selling 3 series, the 320d EfficientDynamics will achieve 68.9mpg and emit a remarkable 109g/km. This car will hit the raod of britain on the 20th march 2010 and now is the perfect time to arrange your contract hire leasing agreement to be one of the first drivers.

bmw 320d se efficient dynamic front

This is a BMW 320d Efficient Dynamics? But I thought Efficient Dynamics was standard?
Well it is and since BMW first revealed its eco-friendly Efficient Dynamics technology in 2007, every manual 320d that has emerged from the Munich factories has been fitted with active aero, low-rolling resistance tyres, a gearshift indicator, an intelligent alternator and a stop/start system. In fact, every four-cylinder 3 series with a manual ‘box has come so equipped. But there’s now a new version. Up until now the Efficient Dynamics tech has all been standard and relatively under-the-radar (where as Mercedes badges all its latest models BlueEfficiency) but BMW has now come up with an even cleaner 3-series. It’s the company’s special eco model, with extra tweaks to make it even greener and save you money with its startling CO2 output.

So what are the important changes?
The four cylinder diesel is the familiar single-turbo 2.0-litre unit that powers that 316d, 318d and 320d, but some clever engine tweaks lower the power (and thus the CO2 output), but the torque output is actually up. The usual complement of Efficient Dynamics tech is standard, but this 320d has a longer final drive ratio, new 16-inch ‘Aero’ alloys and lower suspension. Now in addition to that there is a new two-mass flywheel with a centrifugal-force pendulum – it sounds complicated but effectively weights inside the flywheel counteract the vibrations from the engine. In itself this doesn’t improve emissions but the system is claimed to make the driving experience smoother at lower rpm, which should in turn encourage drivers to use fewer revs and higher gears. And that’s means more miles per gallon.

bmw 320d ed efficient dynamic interior

But the end result isn’t an efficient-but-achingly-slow BMW. After all the tweaking this 320d puts out 161bhp and 265lb ft, respectively down and up on the regular 177bhp/258lb ft 320d. Plus the on-paper performance differences are marginal – the new car is three-tenths slower to 62mph (at 8.2sec) and three digits slower flat out (as if it matters).

The emissions and economy figures are even more impressive – the 320d ED manages 68.9mpg on the combined cycle and only emits 109g/km, compared to 58.9mpg and 128g/km for the normal car. Buy a 316d and you’ll still only managed 62.8mpg and 118g/km. That means the 320d Efficient Dynamics driver will only pay £35 a year in tax, and face a meagre 13% benefit-in-kind. So the UK is expected to take around 60% of production, and it should account for 30-50% of 320d sales in Blighty.

What’s the new BMW 320d ED like on the road?
Like a regular 320d. There’s the same smooth, accurate steering and thin rim which makes the Three such a joy to drive. And although the suspension has been dropped by 15mm, it’s only a reduction in height rather than an M Sport kit slung on with stiffer springs so the ride doesn’t suffer. The engine tweaks don’t intrude either. The Efficient Dynamics 3 series loses a little in the mid-range on paper but in the real world there’s still 265lb ft spread from 1750-3000rpm to make overtaking relatively easily, and you’ll be trying very hard to spot the difference between this and the regular 320d. The fancy flywheel does make a difference, dampening the vibrations so you’re happier to use lower revs and a higher gear. This also means the gearshift indicator points can be set lower, and although we weren’t trying too hard to be green the trip computer was still claiming over 58mpg.

bmw 320d ed efficient dynamic rear

Will my neighbour know I’m going green?
No, because the only visual difference you’ll notice compared to the standard 320d SE are the inch-smaller alloys and a few minor Efficient Dynamics badging. It’s the familiar 3-series you’ll spot on almost every road in Britain, and in line with 2008’s mid-life facelift there’s LED rear lights, revised front and rear bumpers and a more contoured bonnet. There’s also the latest version of iDrive with shortcut buttons around the main dial.

Chevrolet splits from GM UK Fleet

February 15th, 2010 by Gary Shapland

GMC Leasing has worked with General Motors for several years with Brands such as Vauxhall, SAAB and more recently Chevrolet creating niche Contract Hire and Leasing opportunities.

Chevrolet has changed its sales approach to fleets, announcing the establishment of a new, independent operation. The move means that fleet customers will now deal directly with the brand / GMC Leasing, rather than going through GM UK Fleet. Under the change, Chevrolet has also appointed its first national fleet sales manager. Keith Jones takes on the newly created role with the aim of successfully growing the marque’s fleet business, underpinned by the launch of several new models over the coming months.

keith jones chevrolet uk fleet sales

Mr Jones brings 12 years’ experience of working within General Motors, most recently as Saab national fleet sales manager, as well as several field-based jobs before that.

He commented: ‘It’s a really exciting time to be part of Chevrolet UK. The company has huge potential in the fleet market, we have a great range of products that keeps on getting better and we’re ready to offer the same levels of great value for money, stylish design, comprehensive specification and customer-driven service to our fleet clients that are already much admired by our retail customers.’

The carmaker is kicking off its fleet offensive with the launch of the Spark, which replaces the Matiz and is intended to appeal to the ‘low-mileage user chooser, city-based business user or small business looking for a distinctive new model to promote their company’.

Also newly announced is an automatic version of the diesel Cruze, which uses the 2.0 VCDi engine.

Chevrolet also promises forthcoming models that will appeal in the core fleet markets.

£125! NISSAN PIXO Special Edition 1.0 N-Tec 5dr

February 5th, 2010 by Gary Shapland

At GMC Leasing we always strive to offer you not only the big grand cars to contract hire and lease, we also offer you the smallest and cheapest little run arounds to contract hire and lease and here is a brand new offer on a £125! NISSAN PIXO Special Edition 1.0 N-Tec 5dr

NISSAN PIXO Special Edition 1.0 N-Tec 5dr Front

This is Nissan’s smallest car in their model line up and its called the Nissan Pixo. It’s a cheap rival for the Hyundai i10 and Kia Picanto, but one that arguably comes from a better established brand with a marginally more premium badge.

It doesnt take much invetsigation before you will disover that Nissan have shared technology and design with Suzuki and that this Nissan is in fact a Suzuki. It’s the sister car to the mechanically identical Suzuki Alto and both are built at a factory in India, not Japan. Visually the two cars are different: the Pixo gets its own longer lights, a new front grille, different bonnet and new seat trims - a treatment that makes it look more like its bigger Nissan siblings. But really it’s an Alto in disguise.

NISSAN PIXO Special Edition 1.0 N-Tec 5dr Interior

In this day and age its almost a daily occurance that Manufacturers share development and production costs are then able to bring down the showroom price of their cars. Remember that Toyota, Citroen and Peugeot did the same to launch the Aygo, C1 and 107. And this strategy helps the Pixo be one of the cheapest cars on sale in Britain.

In the cabin the set up is simple and functional, the driving position is adequate, and standard equipment does include Isofix mounting points and an MP3 CD player which is impressive for the money, and on this Nissan Pixo 1.0 Special Edition N-Tec you get electric front windows and Air Conditioning.

The petrol engine is a little three cylinder 996cc unit that produces a modest 67bhp, but because the Pixo is nice and light it still manages zero to 62mph in a respectable 11 seconds. Performance is peppy and the little engine is happy to be revved. The Pixo is surprisingly amusing and safe through corners and the well-mannered chassis means body control isn’t bad at all. It’s narrow too, so it can dart through gaps in traffic.

NISSAN PIXO Special Edition 1.0 N-Tec 5dr Rear

To see the full leasing details on this NISSAN PIXO Special Edition 1.0 N-Tec 5dr or any other Nissan Contract Hire Leasing deals along with every contract hire and leasing deal currently available, please vist the GMC Leasing web site at www.gmcleasing.co.uk

Reduced! CITROEN C4 Grand Picasso 1.6 Hdi VTR+ Now only £239!

February 4th, 2010 by Gary Shapland

Citroen has come up trumps. The C4 Picasso is a massive step forward and shoots straight to the top of the MPV sector.

CITROEN C4 Grand Picasso 1.6 Hdi VTR+ Front

This Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 1.6 Hdi VTR+ has the relaxed driving experience characterises the C4 Picasso. The ride in this bigger C$ is well accomplished as it soaks up bumps with ease and is supple enough to isolate imperfections from the cabin. This 1.6-litre HDi diesel is selling the best and boasts smooth power delivery with enough pace in most situations.

It’s clear Citroen has rediscovered its flair for design and innovation. This C4 Grand Picasso is a good-looking compact MPV, with well proportioned dimensions and modern, clean lines, while the huge curving windscreen dominates the front-end styling. Once inside, the sheer amount of glass, combined with narrow A-pillars and large quarter light windows, offers class-leading visibility. It’s based on the C4 hatch and is packed with the same technology, but has unique features too - such as optional self-levelling hydraulic rear suspension.

CITROEN C4 Grand Picasso 1.6 Hdi VTR+ Interior

The cabin feels very spacious, as there’s nothing but storage trays between the front seats. It’s well laid out, with the now-trademark fixed-hub steering wheel. And the driving position is fine, with the seat proving comfortable and supportive on long trips. In the middle row, there are three separate sliding chairs, each with Isofix child seat mountings. Legroom is good in the furthest back position and there’s decent shoulder space, while the middle occupant benefits from a flat floor. Best of all is the seat operating mechanism - just pull a handle on the back and the base flips up. The chair then slides forward to give excellent access to the fairly roomy third row. Excellent noise insulation makes the Picasso refined on the motorway.

Renault Wind coupé-roadster - Looks like a lotus Elise!

February 3rd, 2010 by Gary Shapland

Its been a while now but the ‘Wowing the crowds’ hackney language motor show cliché is to be used again this year as Renault might just have given it new life with this, the Wind coupé-roadster - bound for the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Renault Wind Coupe Roadster

The Renault Wind may have a slightly unfortunate name yet it looks like a breath of fresh air.

It seems very much like Renault has built itself a Lotus Elise - but the Wind is intended as an everyday car rather than a sportscar; both practical and, we’re promised, affordable.

We know only three concrete details so far. Its 3.83m length, its 270-litre boot capacity, and the time it takes the roof to go from open to closed: just 12 seconds.

Beyond the fab looks - and the sheer fact of its existence at all - the most exciting thing about the Wind is that roof mechanism. This is a coupé-convertible with a difference.

As soon as the prices have been revelaed we will be able to advertise a contract hire and leasing price so keep checking back with us. Alternatively you can visit our contract hire and leasing website at GMC Leasing www.gmcleasing.co.uk and whilst you are there take a few minutes to check out all out latest contract hire and leasing deals.

£199 Honda Insight 1.3 IMA SE Hybrid CVT

February 3rd, 2010 by Gary Shapland

GMC Leasing has just brought he Honda Insight down in price to a new £199.99, now thats a bargain!!!

Honda Insight 1.3 IMA SE Hybrid CVT

When you think of ‘hybrid’ cars the chances are one car comes to mind. The Toyota Prius has now such a hold on this fledgling class that it’s impossible not to picture its teardrop-shaped bodywork.

But rival Honda is about to strike back with a model of its own. Enter the 2009 Insight – a car that is being billed as the most affordable hybrid in the world thanks to an estimated Prius-beating price tag of less than £15,000. But this isnt about buying the car, this is about leasing it and on this playing field the Honda Insight is much less!

The Insight bears a striking resemblance to the Prius, but Honda is promising it is more than just a copy of the Toyota, with a unique personality.

It’s smaller than the Prius and claims to offer a more dynamic driving experience. It also gives owners a fun way to monitor economy.

The newcomer uses Honda’s clever Integrated Motor Assist drivetrain. This couples an 88bhp, 1.3-litre eight-valve VTEC petrol engine with a 13bhp electric motor, which is sandwiched between the main unit and the CVT gearbox.

The combined output is 98bhp and 167Nm of torque – all of which is available from as little as 1,000rpm. So the Insight has plenty of performance. Throw in firm suspension, nicely weighted steering and a paddleshift gear selector on EX models, and you have the first fun to drive petrol electric car – at least in comparison to its main rival.

Of course, hybrids also have to be efficient, and the Insight encourages thrifty driving. An Eco Assist display takes pride of place in the centre console. It has the feel of a video game, and sees leaves and petals grow on flowers the more efficiently you drive. A more conventional bar graph also shows energy consumption. In addition, there is the Eco Guide, which uses backlighting on the speedometer to indicate how environmentally friendly you’re being. A green speedo means you’re loving the planet.

An Econ mode makes green driving easier by remapping the throttle to be less aggressive, dialling back air-con demand and using a few other tricks.

On a fuel economy route set up especially by Honda for our drive, the test drivers did not take notice of the car’s promptings and left Econ off and still managed 42.4mpg.

When the test drivers let the Insight tell them how to drive and coasted down a few hills, that figure shot up to 65.6mpg. Even without the hybrid technology, the Insight is a great family car. It has more legroom than the Jazz and having the compact battery mounted under the rear seats gives it more boot space than the larger Toyota.

Up front, the split instrument pod from the Civic family hatch is mated to audio controls from the Jazz. The plastics all have a high-quality feel, too.

On the outside, the Insight effortlessly blends the nose of Honda’s FCX Clarity to a Prius-like body. The aerodynamics make for quiet cruising… until you open up the throttle and the engine drones to the red line thanks to the CVT. Options include a sat-nav system, iPod integration and Bluetooth.

To find out more about this Honda Insight 1.3 IMA SE Hybrid CVT and other models of the Honda Insight that are available to contract hire, or see all the latest car leasing deals then please visit our web site at www.gmcleasing.co.uk

£186 Renault Megane Expression 1.5DCI 86BHP Coupe

February 2nd, 2010 by Gary Shapland

Starting at just £186 + VAT pcm this is a stunning looking coupe and its a diesel so you wont spend the earth on fuel either, its an all round winner!!!

Renault Megane Expression 1.5DCI 86BHP Coupe

Hot on the heels of the five-door hatch comes Renault’s Megane Coupe. A three-door version that emphasises its ’sportier’ nature - in the vein of the Astra Sport Hatch and Seat Ibiza SC - Renault is attempting to differentiate the coupe from the hatch by giving it a style and character of its own.

Has it worked? On the basis of its looks, most definitely. The Coupe benefits from a much sleeker, lower profile than the five-door hatch. Its design is better defined, with silver highlights around the front air intakes and a curvy rear that still manages to retain some attributes of the previous ‘ass-shaking’ Megane. This is a good-looking car, there’s little doubt about that.

The interior is as modern-Renault as you can get, which is fast becoming a positive description. The instrument display is simple and easy to read - the large LCD speedo does feel a tad dated, however - while the dash and centre console are made from high-quality, soft-touch plastics. Sculpted seats and switchgear are also imported from the more expensive Laguna.

The Megane Coupe is a stunning-looking car and will certainly attract appreciative glances while you’re out and about.

Another Rave Review For Mercedes E Class

February 1st, 2010 by Gary Shapland

The positive reviews for the Mercedes E Class keep on coming.

This is another press release taken from Mercedes’ website:

Motorists wanting a long-lasting vehicle that benefits from top levels of production quality should consider the latest addition to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate range, according to Richard Hammond.

Writing in his blog for the Daily Mirror, the Top Gear presenter speaks particularly highly of the vehicle’s class-leading capacity and the use of innovations to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide generated.

Mr Hammond notes that “these reliable German-quality wagons are so well made that many of the oldest models are still doing good service”.

The newest E-Class Estate provides motorists with 695 litres of space when the rear seats are left in their typical position, but this drastically increases to 1,950 litres when they are dropped.

Meanwhile, alongside the practicality of allowing drivers to transport their children and belongings with the minimum of fuss, the estate also does so with a little bit of luxury.

Comfortable head and leg room awaits motorists when inside the vehicle, while clean, bold lines feature throughout the cabin to create a striking first impression.

Mercedes E Class Wins Award

February 1st, 2010 by Gary Shapland

The more I read about the E-Class, the more our latest Mercedes E Class car leasing deal sounds like a bargain. Here’s another press release from Mercedes to show the E-Class Estate’s award winning talent.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class and SLS AMG have both trumped the opposition in their respective markets to win the titles of Best Car of 2010 from readers of a German publication.

Almost 100,000 votes were cast by fans of auto motor und sport, as they were asked to submit their winners from 326 vehicles across ten categories.

The dynamic design and exemplary comfort of the E-Class struck a positive chord to take the honours in the upper executive segment, while the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG blew the opposition away to take top sports car honours.

Alongside being able to use its blistering acceleration to race from still to 62 miles per hour in 3.8 seconds, the SLS AMG also combines consummate safety with superior driving dynamics.

Power comes from an AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine, while the car’s lightweight construction, sports suspension with aluminium double wishbones and a seven-speed, double-declutch transmission additionally playing a role in its dynamic performance.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate and the SLS AMG were both also recognised at the TOPauto 2010 Awards last month, which took in the opinions of international motoring journalists from Switzerland, Austria and Germany.

It is worth noting, the leasing deal mentioned earlier for was for the E250 TDi BlueEfficiency SE Saloon car. If you are interested in leasing the estate, give us a call and we’ll do our best to find you a competitive lease to suit you.

Mercedes E-Class Press Release

February 1st, 2010 by Gary Shapland

Earlier today, you’d have read our post on the Mercedes E-Class saloon. Of course, Mercedes also offer an estate and a coupe version of the E-Class. Here’s a brief press release, taken from Mercedes’ website, to announce the new 2010 estate and coupe versions of the E-class…

A range of different model lines are available with the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate, giving motorists the chance to suit their own individual tastes.

Elegance will be noted by those opting for the SE model, which also includes an aluminium trim, Artico upholstery and low rolling resistance tyres.

This is in contrast to the black ash wood trim and ambient lighting enjoyed by motorists preferring the Avantgarde model, which additionally features a lower suspension and leather upholstery.

Alternatively, AMG body styling is one of the chief features of the Sport model, with eye-catching front and rear aprons helping to give the vehicle a bolder, more aggressive stance.

This dynamic theme continues to be taken to new levels throughout other areas of the car, courtesy of a sports-tuned suspension, alongside an AMG 3-spoke steering wheel, AMG floor mats and a brushed aluminium trim.

High levels of standard equipment can be expected by motorists choosing the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate on any of the model lines, such as heated front seats, automatic climate control and a steering column with adjustable height and reach.
